I don't know exactly when "CIT Point" got its name, but I suspect it was quite early, maybe even during the first year Lake Cole existed (1959). (Someone who goes back that far should email me with this info.**)
Last night Camp Hird had its session 1 closing campfire at CIT Point and it was one of the quietest and nicest closing campfires I've attended in recent years. It had been a clear dry cloudless day and by sunset the temperatures started dropping. The moon rose, and the stars came out. What a perfect setting for a campfire!
**Bill Sonsin was there in '62 and does not remember any reference to "CIT Point" then.
