views of the Wildcat Mountain ridge rolling east toward Slide

I led cabin 41 (Lakota) on an all-morning hike on Thursday. Soon I'll post photos of the hikers and our destination, the Line Shack. Meantime, I want to post three photos I took from the spot where the Perimeter Trail meets the Sunrise Trail, in a large fern field not very far below and to the west of the observatory. From there, in that opening, we can look across the valley to Wildcat. It's a great spot. The campers were really stunned by how beautiful it is right there. Several acres of ferns in a field and this view across the valley!
