Sat shiva this afternoon (along with Jerry Huncosky and others) at the home of Eva Gottscho. It happened that we were there with members of the Gottscho Kidney Foundation Board, so it was a bit of a reunion. Al Wickens, long-time leader of the Gottscho Board, was there with his wife Pat. Eva's daughter Judy showed me a painting of her sister Ruth, who died of kidney failure many, many years ago and whose early death gave Eva the impetus to do everything that she has done for kids with renal disease.
